So we just finished our Welcome Party meal, and I'm so happy to finally have a full stomach. It has been a while since me and Michelle have had a good dinner. We came home yesterday, and our host mom, Eva, told us she has bronchitis. She prepared dinner for us, but we felt bad because she was not feeling well and coughing a lot so she's been staying in her room. She went to the doctor though and I hope she starts to feel better. It makes it even harder though because her English is hard to understand and I don't think she understands us sometimes. Anyways, we will see how the rest of the week goes.

This weekend I went to Brussels with a group. Making hostel reservations and figuring out our train ride the day before was very stressful, and I didn't really know what to expect from Belgium, besides the waffles, which were amazing, by the way, but I really enjoyed our first weekend trip. We might've not known where the heck we were going and where we wanted to go, but it was fun that way. But we were so lucky to have Leigh with us, who spoke French, which helped a lot, and we love her. It was great getting to know some of the people on our trip before the actual program started. Nothing bonds people together more than getting lost together in a foreign country. So hope we can figure out planning this weekend, and hope it is just as fun as the last!!
