I'm having so much fun in Europe! A week in Greece was the best way to
start the trip. I was nervous about meeting the host family, but they
spoil me. I am just as comfortable in their home as I am in Texas. Their
baby is the cutest thing I have ever seen and I sit there and play with
him all the time. Every morning they offer me so much food and fresh
coffee and every evening they cook the best meals. She does any laundry I
have and I have an amazing room. It's a big change that the house has
three bathrooms, but only one of them has a toilet. Everytime I need to
go, even in the middle of the night, I have to walk downstairs to go. I
like how they hang dry everything. My clothes smell so good when I get
them back. Germany is so much greener and prettier than Texas. I thought
College Station was green, but I think it's greener here. I think Texas
is the greatest place on earth, but Germany is not far behind.
Since I've never been to Europe, I plan on taking full advantage of the
weekends. I am excited to get to as many places as I can. Last weekend
I went to Amsterdam and it's a good thing I was with three boys. I wish
I would have gone to more parts of Amsterdam and looked around more,
because the parts of Amsterdam that I saw was everything I'm not.
Amsterdam is a place everyone should see and experience and the Van Gogh
museum was good, but I was very uncomfortable there at night. We are
getting stressed about what to do on the following weekends, but
hopefully we will figure it out.
