So, I was right. I love the trains. I love being able to roam about, and being able to do whatev.
We went to Cologne yesterday, and it was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed touring the cathedral. I took art history in high school and I spent a lot of time studying various cathedral styles. I was always curious to see the choirs where special Christian artifacts were held for Catholic pilgrims to view. I always wondered why people would travel so far to see someone's supposed remains. It was really neat, and I could see why a devout Catholic would appreciate it. Right after our cathedral tour, we ran ran ran to the station so we could go see Harry Potter!! On the train ride back, we had a Fiver ticket, where we had one ticket for a group of 5. Well, we were all worrying about Harry Potter and we got on the first class car. On top of that, the one holding our ticket lost our ticket! So just as we were pulling up to the Dusseldorf station, we got kicked out of the car! We got extremely lucky. But it was an adventure.
I'm really enjoying the trip, I think I'm starting to settle into a groove of walking and thinking and learning all day, and crashing at night for a few hours, waking up, and starting all over again. I like it. Learning about all this cool history and medicine things totally makes up for having foot blisters!
