Hamburg

today we got back from hamburg at around 3pm. it was nice getting back to dusseldorf early because it gave me time to rest. this weekend was awesome, it was a lot better than i thought it would be. when i heard that we were heading to hamburg, i didnt know what to expect because i had never heard of the city. but now that ive been there, i do recommend it to everyone. i forgot who said it while we were there, but it does sorta have that austin feel to it. it seemed like such a laid back town. when we were first got there we headed to the hostel we stayed at. it was a nice hostel, it roomed about 8 people. so all five of us stayed in a room, plus 3 other guys we met there. the claimed that they had the same name, but we didnt buy it. for some reason it seemed a little strange. anyway, we started walking through the city, and the first place we stopped at was a mall. personally, i hate malls, but i went in there anyways, and just tagged along with the group. they looked like they were having fun, and i never want to be the party pooper, so i just followed along and enjoyed it also. one thing i did notice about europe is that they are really into fashion. the clothes at the mall were really expensive. i saw some sandals that were worth 50 euros..no way, ill stick to my old navy flip flops, 2 for 5 bucks.
the biker rally was going on in hamburg this weekend, and that was pretty cool. got to see a lot of cool bikes. we spent the rest of the day sight seeing on a tour bus. like i said, its a really nice city.
there are three events that i will always remember, and that will make great stories to tell in the future. im not going to write about them right now, because that would make this blog way too long. but one story involves the subway, the other involves walking into the wrong casino, and the last one is about almost missing our night cruise.
overall it was an awesome weekend, i hope all the weekends are like this one, or better, the rest of the summer.
