Germany Germany

I really enjoy Dusseldorf. At first, when I wondered around on my own, I was like "holy guacamole this place isn't that exciting." But after the tour, I found there are a lot of really fun places to go, you just had to know where to go! Yesterday, during the scavenger hunt, we went to the mustard shop, and tasted several different mustards and bought a few. They are freaking delicious!

So my host mom is pretty much amazing. Trixie is this really easy going mom, who lets us have our independence. I was really worried I might have some host parents who would smother me and always want to come hang out with them all the time. She's really fun to talk to and just hang out with in the evenings.

So yesterday, I got my blackberry, and I got really excited. However, I got too distracted on the bus because of it and missed my stop! Ugh, I had to get off and wait forever for the next one to come by, because it was in the evening. The area was kind of shady, and some individual with mental problems was gibbering at me. However, my angel in high heels, a woman wearing an enormous amount of leather, helped me out and showed me the right place to go. She was so nice; I don't think I have ever seen someone be that nice to a stranger before. She was telling me to watch out for the mentally ill individual and to sit close by the driver. She was like my mom, but as if she was a biker chick.

So far, I have really enjoyed my experience. I can't wait for what is to come!
