Oh My Stars Vol 3 - By Spicy 9
So it turns out I LOVE LOVE LOVE Germany. I've had a really great week and am so excited to see what next week has in store. Last week I was in the group that had the opportunity to scrub in on an open heart surgery and it was amazing! I definitely am considering medical school after seeing first hand how incredible surgery can be! Then the tour of the cathedral and Koln was incredible. I feel like every time I try to describe something that has happened I just say it was amazing. It was awesome to see the city from the roof and had an amazing view. Of course I went to Amsterdam this weekend with my fellow aggies and boy did we have a blast. I've officially been named "Spicy 9" for the duration of the trip due to a rather elementary game of "determine your hooker name." On Saturday a group of the girls went on an amazing tour of Amsterdam, guided by Stuart of Mike's Bikes. Aside from a minor bike crash by one of the girls, I think it is safe to say we all had an amazing time. On the tour we took a tour of a cheese farm and clog factory (random). I was completely amazed by the number of bikes in Amsterdam. Everywhere you looked moms were riding bikes with little kids sitting in baskets, carts, or kiddie seats on the back and it was amazing. However, it was so nice to be back in Duesseldorf I can't believe I've only been here for a week and it already feels like home. Oh and we sat out on the porch last night and had a good long talk with Dirk our host mom's son-in-law. It was nice.
