I didn't think I was really going to like the research farm we went to this week because I'm not vet med, but I loved it! I actually learned alot. And...it was free entertainment! "Cheeps, cheeps, where are the cheeps!" We got to see sperm wiggling around with two heads, no heads, two tails. Definately not what I thought we were going to be doing. I actually found it really interesting to learn about. I`d have to say it was definately better than Rhine Bio Tech and listening to quality control speeches. The German history museum was really interesting too. Wè´re learning alot of history we never learned in our schools. And, of course free food and beer at the AIB was the best. How can you say no to free food and beer? I'm always good with free stuff.
But, the Rhine River tour with the wine tasting has to be the best day yet. I wish there hadn't been so many people on our castle tour, but it's too late now! The wine tasting opened alot of people up and started them talking. I noticed that when we got in there everyone was quiet, but after a couple glasses of wine it was LOUD! Funny how a few glasses of wine has that effect... :)
I am absolutely loving not having to go to work every day. Usually during the summer I work almost every day plus go to class...stressful! This summer is awesome! I cant believe I`d never been out of the country until this summer. And now I´ve been to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel (I went on a cruise before I left for Europe), England, Portugal, Spain, GERMANY, the Netherlands, and France!!! This summer is like a dream come true for me! I keep thinking I´m going to wake up one day in my bed and be late for work or something.
So on Thursday night we went out to the bars in Aldstadt and it was alot of fun! It´s probably a good thing that the trains stop running at 12:30. Because otherwise, I don't think we would have made it home in time to get much sleep that night. By the way, the American Bar and free drinks are awesome. The bartender in there definately likes Prissy! He gave us this big huge pitcher with 5 long straws full of liquor and literally a splash of juice. And it was actually really good. It was called lady killer, and after drinking it I can see why. And that was only the beginning of the evening...
