I've got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell

The Swiss Franc is nearly equal to the American Dollar. This doesn't stop the Swiss from pricing everything about twice as much. Regardless, they can consider it the "You get to see the Swiss Alps" Tax, which at 100%, is in the running for most expensive tax in the history of civilized man. Switzerland is very beautiful, the countryside is amazing, the lakes are enormous and nearly as deep as the mountains are high above them. One of the high points of this weekend has definitely been Bungie jumping from 450 feet from a gondola over a lake in the middle of the mountains, while herds of cows, complete with cowbells, wandered by underneath. It was such a rush, such an amazing experience to feel no ground beneath your feet and to feel like your head was about to explode from all of the rushing blood, and your eyeballs were about to pop out of your head. Wow. That actually sounds horrible. Disregard that last part. Today (Saturday), we went canyoning on the EXTREME 7 hour route through the mountains. Canyoning is a combination of rappelling off cliffs and waterfalls, jumping off rocks into beautiful pools of varying depths, sometimes from as high as 10 meters, and sliding down giant natural water slides carved into the rocks, all the while jumping from rock to rock through the canyons like a mountain goat in a wetsuit. The only dodgy part was being lowered way too fast down an 18 meter waterfall while hanging from a rope and being dropped onto the rocks in the shallow water, landing with my foot between two wedged rocks. Our hostel is definitely shady, but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm still not exactly sure what to write my term paper about, but tomorrow will be a long day, with plenty of time to deliberate, and this trip has given some good possible topics. The weeks have really flown by, I can't believe we only have two weeks left before going home. I'm definitely going to try and milk the rest of this trip (no pun intended, switzerland) for all it's worth.
