Ich bin sleepy

So this weekend I traveled to Heidelberg with Stuart and Kellie. MAN can Kellie party it up. Stuart and I looked like old women compared to her. But it was a fun time anyway. We woke up at around the crack of dawn to catch a 5:58am train (which was not my idea). We had all spent the night at Kellie's and her host mom woke up with us and made us breakfast! It was so sweet! And that's on top of the big dinner and dessert party she had for all of us for Kellie's birthday. We had to switch trains twice which was annoying, but it did make the ticket cheaper for those with no rail pass. When we got there we dropped our stuff off at the hostel and then went to the Schloss, which is a castle. It was absolutely beautiful. I wasn't going to hike to another castle after the Marksburg so I took the train up while Stuart and Kellie hiked up the mountainside, (or hillside, whatever). We finally met at the top and walked around the grounds, and we saw several brides along the way taking their wedding photos. It was sooooo pretty there. Then we saw the German pharmacy museum and the worlds largest wine vat which holds over 220,000 liters of wine. Too bad they weren't serving. After our view of the castle we went back down, walked through the shopping area, and back to the hostel. A funny little thing is that our hostel is next door to the zoo, and as we arrive what do we see on the roof, but peacocks!!! They were just strutting around, hanging out, watching the people. After that spectacle we took a nice nap and then woke up to go out AGAIN. Like I said, Kellie is more of a party animal than Stuart and I so we let her hang out with some nice people we met while we went back to bed. Sunday we woke up, went to breakfast, checked out of the hostel, and then went on a river boat tour. All I can say is breathtaking. I really don't have words for it because I'm still taking it all in. It was just overwhelming to see such beauty. Germany is definetly a special place. It was on the boat that it hit me, holy cow I LIVE in GERMANY! how many people can say this. I am so blessed to be able to be on this trip with these amazing people. Thanks to everyone who helped get me here :)
