Today....... Today is the 07/04, Tuesday, second day we are here in Dusseldorf. The temperature is really unexpected, meaning its really hot, thinking it would be cool in Germany.
So, anyway, this morning we had a welcome orientation or meeting don't know what to call it at this time, but a meeting, we talked about the schedule, host family, assignments we have to do, and most importantly, we met the AIB staff, which they are really nice.
Than we took this really long walk around Dusseldorf. It was really nice and different, but just the heat was not best thing. Oh, by the way, the walk was 3 hours long.....Which I didn't mind, but when you think about it.... Its a GOOD WALK. But over all, it was nice to see the city.
OH, and another thing I cant miss, today is WorldCup-match Germany vs Italy..... the whole town is going crazy about it, I can understand that Germany would go crazy...Wouldn't you? Also, its the independents day for the United States. After the long-walk, we had a welcome dinner, or a independents day dinner in Germany at AIB, which was great.
After dinner, about 10 or 13 of us, went out to see the match at monkey Island, which was really really nice. The atmosphere was just incredible....!!! All of us had so much fun, but the sad thing was that Germany lost the match by 2-0, but they played a great match.
After the match, we were going home on the tramp, we got on it around 11:45pm, we us 4 where talking on the tramp, and realized that our tramp was not anymore our tramp, meaning it switched directions and turning into a different tramp..... and remember.. this is at 12:20 am. we had no tramps to go home on, so we started to walk in the dark toward home looking at the map. But luckily we got a cab eventually and got safely, but I can say it was an adventure.
great day over all, now Im tried. hope it gets cooler in a few days or even tomorrow would be better.
