Well first off, I am VERY excited that Italy won the world cup. I was really rooting for anyone to beat France. And WOW!!! What a way for the team captain of France to go out. Quite the head butt I must say.
But what I should really talk about, the the FABULOUS trip to Amsterdam that I had this weekend. Well actually, there is a TON of stuff I should talk about, but I will start there. I really do love this group of people. I had an absolute blast hanging out with them in Amsterdam. I think we all just fit well together. I got to show Kit and Stuart around a little bit since I had come to Amsterdam before the program began. As Stuart would say..... it was so beautiful!!!! The weather was very nice. We just wandered around the streets, checking out the shops and finding places to eat. I discovered a very tasty honey and walnut cream cheese to go with my bagel. We did a lot of walking and exploring. It was just an overall great experience.
Kind of like.... seeing OPEN HEART SURGERY!!!!! It was humbling to be standing over the patient, watching his heart beat. I can't wait for medical school!
Oh, I just checked my email, and I just got my offer for my FIRST medical school interview!! I am bouncing off the walls. Too bad its on August 2nd, before I am home in America. Everything always works out, and I know this will too.
Anyways, this week should be exciting, we have a lot to look forward to. This really is the experience of a life time, and even if it means losing a little sleep, I want to soak it allllllll up.
