I Left My Heart In Amsterdam

Oh Amsterdam. My first weekend in Europe will forever be remembered. Every moment in Amsterdam was a surprise. The train ride to Amsterdam started the weekend off wonderful. The group I was with met so many people on the train which included: The Extreme team, the jersey boys, the German men, and a few train men. And it was crazy because we saw the same people we met on the train all over the city, and not just once. We even saw the extreme team on the train back! But after starting the weekend off great it just kept going with a late night run to the pub, a tasty breakfast, a four hour AMAZING bike tour, the Heinken experience and alot of other night life stuff. I can't say enough about the bike tour. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was out and it was still a wonderful cool airconditioned day. We sang songs like 'do a dear," and we went to a cheese factory, took a picture with a windmill, and watched a wooden shoe be made right before our eyes. Needless to say Amsterdam was amazing. But the title of this blog is about my heart. On the train ride back is what solidified my wonderful trip to Amsterdam. A sweet man named Peter made my week or who knows perhaps year. I had met him on the previous train, but he hadn't been working, he was hanging out with all the train employees. I talked to him and took a few pictures with him and the train workers. When I was going back to Dusseldorf, he was on my train as the instructor. He had spotted me in the train and I ran up to meet him. He said it was crazy that he was even working today. I told him what car I was in and left to take my seat. A few minutes later I hear over the loud speakers "hello ladies and gentlemen, and Kellie." I was shocked! But after that the train ride was even more crazy. He talked to me on the train, and came back one time with a bottle of white wine for my birthday this friday! Then at my stop I hear over the loud speakers. "ladies and Gentlemen, and THE KELLIE." He finds me before I leave and kisses me on the cheek goodbye. It was so romantic, he watched and waved as I went all the way down the stairs to the lower level. It was totally like a cute love story. Yeah I left my heart in Amsterdam (or at least on the train). I really loved this weekend.
