silvester

So silvester... it definantly lived up to my expectations. Although the music choice was a completly horrible and would mocked and spat on anything that had ever resembled a form of artwork i could definantly say the food and drinks were great. Also the shopping in those little tourist trap shops was at a fair price. I will say that a million people was a very believable number of people to be there, it was most definantly the biggest crowd i've ever been in. It was also the first time that night that i had had real German Bratwurst and i loved it. You really have to like meat to appreciate it but with a bit of ketchup those footlong suckers will make your mouth water. The fireworks were pretty spectacular. I was surprised after the fireworks when we were walking back the amount of trash and partying going on right outside the riechstag. There were peopleon the steps of the parliament building throwing beer and wine bottles and lighting off fireworks. The trash generated was just phenamenal, definantly something that would never fly in washington DC or withing 20 miles of it. I can in the end say the the Germans know how to party!
