Czech'd out of Prague as soon as I could.

My first thoughts..well this looks sketchy. Oh look, a swamp, we're in Louisiana. Uhm guys we only have 10 minutes left and I don't see civilization. 😁 Well this is turning out well. Oh but it's so pretty. Guys it's gonna be FINE...I think.

Hello Prague. And welcome to the Czech Republic. Now get it together.

It was a great and whirlwind 4 days in Vienna! Arriving Monday morning, we immediately began our itinerary. Starting with a city tour led by Dr. Schnabel with lots of interesting information regarding the medical aspects of the city.
Tuesday began with a trip to the Josephenum and I think this was probably my favorite field trip in Vienna. It was full of wax models of body parts and also full size bodies. After already having anatomy it was so cool to be able to recognize the names of ligaments, muscles, and tendons, etc and see them in human form compared to dog form. Tuesday night consisted of a group trip to see a string quartet and it was an hour of beautiful music classical music in a truly stunning church.
Wednesday started with a trip to the Natural History Museum and that afternoon a trip to the Fools Tower. Touring for an hour showed us all kinds of pathological models of body parts.
Thursday meant a trip to Freuds house and then a lecture from Dr. Wasser. After that our group was off to the train station to figure out our way to Prague.

Arriving in Prague we wound our way through the city in search of our hostel. When they say no street in Prague is straight boy do they mean it! Thank goodness for Lauren and her data for instances just like this. Navigating a group of 15 through a busy city is no easy task, but we're science majors and we can handle anything. Not gonna lie day 1 was pretty sketchy for me. But Prague got better as the days went by. The city of a hundred spires and red roofs definitely lived up to its name. We of course had to do the touristy things and go see the Lennon Wall, the Charles Bridge, and the Prague Castle. Our time in Prague also included a lot of city roaming and low and behold one just might find a bar made only out of ice. I must say that Prague has Vegas beat in terms of Ice bars as this one was much bigger inside. Prague was fun, but I don't think exactly for me.  Its such a change in what we are used to in terms of friendliness and service there. I definitely wasn't expecting the stellar service that we get in the states when you sit down to eat, or even walking the streets. What we experienced in Prague however was in a class all its own. We haven't had problems anywhere else that we have been, but the downright rudeness here was quite shocking. The worst happened at lunch Saturday when somehow the waiter just blew off 3 of the meals that were ordered. They waited and waited yet the food never came. When the waiter was questioned he blew it off with a "meh that sucks for y'all" attitude, but yet then a tip was still expected at the end when the bill came with them repeatedly saying "service is not included".  However, it was really neat to go to the Czech Republic and also get to see bits of Bohemian influence because I do have Czechoslovakian and Bohemian in my blood.

It really is the city of red roofs and a hundred spires
Most definitely by Sunday the whole group was ready to get back to the motherland that is Bonn. After a full 10 days of traveling, the bus and train ride back to Bonn was welcomed downtime and the destination is just what we needed. We were all oh so happy to step off the train at the Bonn HBF and relief of being done washed over all of our faces. Although sadly to say it will be short lived as we are off on another adventure tomorrow morning.
