Woah, heavy stuff

Wow, that lecture on German history was incredible. I would be interested to survey and ask other Germans (of all ages) how they feel personally because I find it amazing that an entire country could feel so despondent about their history and their nationality. Yes, the holocaust was aweful, but other countries have done similar things in their pasts and yet I don't know of another people gorup who gets down on themselves so much for their country's/people's past.
