For the first weekend we went to Brussels on Friday night and then Amsterdam on Saturday. Definitely barely slept the whole weekend but that’s fine. I can sleep when I’m back in Texas. Brussels was so beautiful! Our hostel was kind of far from the city center but it was really cool. It was actually part of a sports club complex. We ate dinner near the middle of the city and then went on a pub crawl! The buildings in the middle of the city were lit up with lights and there was a concert going on. It was beautiful.
Our pub crawl was super fun. We went to a bunch of cool pubs and met a ton of different people who were also traveling around Europe! Saturday we went to Amsterdam which was completely different from Brussels but also fun in its own way! We saw the classic giant AMSTERDAM letters. I might have almost gotten stuck on top of the T and had to have help getting down in front of everyone, but it’s fine.
We took a canal tour around the city which was super interesting. The canals were beautiful. I can’t believe people live in house boats parked right in the canals in the middle of the busy city.
Going out with everyone was a fun time and the food was pretty good! I will definitely be back!
