London

I spent weekend 4 in London with a few friends who were also studying abroad. London was absolutely amazing, it felt more similar to New York City than it did to other European cities. The first day, we tried to knock off everything on our “tourist” list. We took the tube to Westminster where we saw Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the Government buildings.

After that we took a double decker bus across town to see the Tower Bridge and the smaller City of London. It was amazing to see a city with such a unique history. That evening we went a club named The Ministry of Sound where we saw R3HAB, an EDM DJ.
The second day was more relaxed and we went to The British Museum where we saw mummies and the Rosetta Stone. We also went to the Churchill Rooms at Imperial War Museum. As Winston Churchill is one of my favorite politicians, this was my favorite part.
The final day we relaxed in a big park and just took it easy. It was really nice to experience both the tourist and local aspects. We are currently waiting at the famous King’s Cross Station to catch a train to the airport and head back to Bonn.
