Berlin was fun, fast, cool, exciting, basically it was a plethora of emotions. But in all I absolutely loved Berlin. This city defines Germany! Brandenburg Gate on New Year's Eve was a night to remember. Well even the treacherous journey to the gate was enough excitement for me. The streets of Berlin were comparable to a war zone, but instead of AK-47s there were fireworks rocketing from every able bodied, but not necessarily able minded person. Ducking and dodging, but still gazing in awe made this event a night to remember, as we shared this experience with thousands of our closest friends. This by far was one of my favorite nights in Germany!
There are so many beautiful cities so close to Berlin! The German transit system is every young travelers dream. Dresden was beautiful, so much history and culture in a town that often goes unnoticed. Yet, it was the Hygiene Museum that was the highlight of the day. Rather than a museum on how one must brush his or her teeth, it was a compilation of the science behind human life and all the variables that often affects it. It was a very exciting and innovative way to learn science outside of classroom or textbook.
Otto Bock Science Center resembled a scene from back to the future or maybe even Artificial Intelligence. The prosthetic limbs that were built and designed were far more advanced than devices that were developed a decade ago. I respect engineers far more now because doctors hold the knowledge of how to use tools, but without engineers to invent the tools doctors are knowledgeable carpenters with an empty toolbox. I'm intrigued by orthopedic surgery so maybe if I'm lucky in a decade, or two, I could be apart of an innovative research that will change the way of prosthetic limbs.
