The Lazy Traveler

Coming to Bonn was a little easier for me. I have been in Europe since May traveling and getting lost in all the beauty that Europe has to offer. I started in Malaga, Spain, being the Maid of Honor at my lovely sisters wedding, and then went on to be the third wheel during her travels with her husband this summer. We went all around Germany, and also to Austria. This was my first time in Germany, and being here for so long I feel like I was able to get past the touristy side and delve into what it's like to live over here (at least for a few weeks). Third wheeling my sister and her new Air Force hubby got to be pretty exhausting after the first, I don't know, three days? Nevertheless, getting to see all the different cities in the past month has been nothing short of incredible. The week before my sister dropped me off in Bonn, we went to Lithuania. While we were there I met my biological family for the first time. This was a huge experience for me, and one that I will never forget. Coming here after that life-changing experience is somewhat of a relief, because if I hadn't met them I would be wondering about the ordeal throughout my time here in Bonn, which can be somewhat of a distraction. Being in Europe has put me in vacation mode for sure, so coming to Bonn and transitioning into school mode has me a little freaked- probably one of my main concerns. I think I'll be fine once I get back into the habit of note-taking, listening to our bomb-ass teachers, and whatnot.

Besides school, I'm not really concerned about much else... I try to go with the flow and being in Europe, I find it easier to do. The way Europeans live their lives is a lot more lax than Americans and I feel like we as Americans can be a lot more uptight and stressed than Europeans. I like that about being here because I can not care about stuff and get away with it... maybe a little more!

Until next post..

TSCHÜSS!
