Berlin
New Years Eve in Berlin was amazing. We had a pretty long bus ride getting to berlin, but once we got to the Brandenburg gate it was on. We learned quickly that we were in Pilsner country.
I thought, this is as real as it gets, but then I recalled that one time I was on boat and man I won’t ever forget it. We spent a lot of the time cruising up and down buying sausages and stuff to drink. One interesting endeavor was trying to find a bathroom. The porter pottys cost .50 euros and a 20 minute wait in line. So we scurried off and found some woods.
We were ready to rendezvoused with the rest of the team. They were all chillin' at the big screen showcasing the musicians. Everyone lit up their Cubans as we rejoiced the new year, and cigars that are illegal in the states. It was almost midnight when we were hit with the surprise of the trip. David Hasselhoff was here singing Freedom! The team freaked out as we all chanted along with him. The German’s love David Hasselhoff, its hilarious. As the night went on Gus and I met these fun German chicks from Munich. They were going to take us to a club afterwards and we probably would have taken some of the team but, when the girls scurried off to the bathroom the team came and said we needed to go. This was awful. Gus and I had just mentioned how we felt that girls in the US would ditch us, but these girls were cool. But then, as soon as they leave, we panic and think we won’t be able to find our way home and so we take off. It stunk, but at least we made it home safe. So for the next two days we ended up mourning how we were jerks and left them.
